The man, in his 30s, was discovered clad in jeans and dark shirt, by a 13-year-old girl at about 2.30pm.
It was learnt that the girl had gone to the area to look for jungle fruits when she stumbled on the corpse, prompting her to alert her grandparent who was close by.
The girl and her family were said to be staying in one of the houses located close to the area.
The body has been sent for post mortem to determine the cause of death.
In an unrelated case, a 25-year-old woman escaped unscathed when the Viva vehicle she was driving landed on its roof along Jalan Bundusan at about 10pm on Tuesday.
