Customs boss' car ends up in Tawau
Tawau: Sabah Customs Director Datuk Janathan Kandok's official vehicle, a Proton Inspira, which was reported stolen from his house in Kota Kinabalu last month, was found in Kampung Sungai Buaya, Mile 3, Jalan Apas, here, on July 18.District Police Chief ACP Awang Besar Dullah said two suspects with no identification documents were detained from a house in the same area.

He said police received a tip-off at 12.30pm and immediately dispatched a Task Force team and they managed to recover the Proton Inspira which bore a fake number plate.

Also seized were the car keys, a black briefcase, house keys, black and red Perfect diary bag, three bank account books, a Sabah Credit Corporation card, a handphone, two diaries and a pendrive.

On June 27, the Customs chief lost RM70,000 worth of items when his house in Taman Ujana Kingfisher in the city was broken into at 3am.
