Libaran Umno Secretary passes away

Sandakan: Libaran Umno Secretary Datuk Basrah Abdul Rahman passed away on Tuesday. He was 57.Basrah, who died of a heart attack at 9.50am at the Duchess of Kent Hospital, is survived by his wife, Datin Nurliah Yaakob, and four children.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman, who is also Sibuga Assemblyman, came to pay his last respects at Masjid Sri Aman, Mile 12.

Musa, who was on a working visit to Sandakan, described Basrah's passing as a huge loss to Umno's struggles in Sandakan.

Basrah, a former Community Development Leader, was buried at the Bintang Baru cemetery at Rancangan Sungai Manila after Zohor prayers on Tuesday.
