3,000 join anti-graft run

Sandakan: Some 3,000 people participated in a State-level run to eliminate corruption (Hapuskan Rasuah, Jangan Terima) at the town field, here. Participants came from all walks of life comprising of government and non-government organisation staff members as well as individuals, students and association members.

The event was officiated by the Minister of Industrial Development, Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah, who represented the Chief Minister, Datuk Musa Aman.

The event was organised by the State Women Movement as part of a programme series to fight corruption which will be held throughout the State from April 20 to November 2.

The objective was to teach people to refrain from giving bribery and accepting it.
