Kota Kinabalu: Sabah-based company, TSH Resources Berhad (TSH) has received back-to-back corporate awards from The Edge Billion Ringgit Club. For 2014, TSH received the Highest Profit Growth Company award for the plantation sector on Aug 11, in recognition of the company's very high profit before tax growth for the last three years.Last year, TSH was awarded the Highest Return to Shareholders Award.ADVERTISEMENT The profit before tax of TSH has climbed 56 per cent over a three-year period. The impressive improvement in profit was fueled by TSH's focus on the palm oil industry especially the upstream plantations in Indonesia.TSH's fresh fruit bunches (FFB) production in Indonesia had been growing rapidly at 50 per cent per annum over the last three years in average, which is expected to continue at a similar pace for the next few years. In the longer run, TSH's profit should also receive a boost from reducing unit cost of production, with higher production and better economies of scale in Indonesia.ADVERTISEMENT "We are very honoured to consecutively receive two awards from The Edge Billion Ringgit Club in 2013 and 2014. We are humbled by the recognition given to us in the palm oil industry," said TSH Chairman, Datuk Kelvin Tan."Our company is only able to achieve this because of our people. It is the strength of our colleagues and friends in this company that has made TSH proud to receive the awards.
