Putatan Chinese Chamber to appeal

Kota Kinabalu: The Putatan Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI), which was de-registered by the Registrar of Societies (ROS) effective Aug. 15 this year, will be appealing against it.The chamber was de-registered after it failed to satisfy the show cause letter issued by the ROS on July 7, 2014, following a complaint lodged by a former senior official that its Treasurer's Report was not properly endorsed by its two former auditors. "We believe there is still room to present our case. We will discuss this with our legal advisers.

Its Secretary Michael Yong claimed that the complaint lodged by the former senior official was done in bad faith to undermine the credibility of its present office bearers.Its Deputy President, David Lo Vui Nyen and Vice President LB Weng, among others, were also present.
