NANJING: National youth diving athlete, Loh Zhiayi was shocked when she won another medal at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games (2014 YOG) at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre Natatorium near here Monday.Prior to this, Loh contributed the nation's silver medal at the 10m individual woman's platform on Saturday.

Loh garnered the bronze medal after collecting 446.70 points, just 12.4 points behind silver medal winner, Krasnoshlyk Ganna from Ukraine who had 459.10 points.

The gold medal for the event went to China's Wu Shengping who collected 492.05 to overcome 11 other divers.

"I don't know how I could get the bronze medal today because all the divers started out better, but they started to make mistakes at the final round and gave me the chance to better my position," she said Monday.

Loh said she had never thought about winning a second personal medal today but felt happy, nevertheless, for being able to contribute to the country.

The 16-year-old diver said she dared not set a target for the international team event on Wednesday.

"I cannot say yet because I don't know which diver I will be paired up with but chance for a medal will be better if I am paired with a great diver," she said. - Bernama
