Housewife cries rape by her nephew

Kota Kinabatangan: A housewife has told police that she was raped by her nephew at her house on Tuesday night.The 18-year-old suspect was subsequently apprehended at a village on Wednesday after the 44-year-old lodged a police report.Police also seized a kitchen knife believed used by the suspect to commit the crime.

It was learnt that the woman was staying alone in her house when the suspect came over at 11pm on Tuesday.As soon as she opened the door, the suspect pushed the door open, which caused the woman to fall and she was threatened with a knife.The suspect used a towel to gag the victim's mouth and tied her hands and legs before raping her.Before the suspect fled the scene, he untied her and the woman quickly lodged a police report and later was sent to the district hospital here to be examined.
