Charity golf tourney on October 3

Kota Kinabalu: A Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Oct 3 at the Sabah Golf and Country Club to raise fund for Lion District 308-A2 community projects. According to the Organising Chairperson, Past District Governor William Tan, the funds raised during this event would go to the water gravity project at Kampung Lingan Lama, Papar and many others in line with the Lions motto of "We Serve".

The tournament offers an array of attractive prizes and lucky draw prizes such as flat screen TV and smartphones.

There will also be a "Sure to Win" Hole and other novelty prizes for "the longest drive, nearest to the pin, nearest to line among others in the tournament observing the stable ford mode of play based on system 36 handicapping.

Tee-off time starts at 6.45am sharp with a "gun shot start" to be declared by Lions District 308-A2, District Governor Dato' Betty Wong.

There will be a buffet prize presentation dinner at 6.30pm in Albatross Hall with Wong as the Guest of Honour.

Other sponsors include Multiple District 308 International Director, Charlie Chan, Charter President Datuk Clement Yeh and Past International Director Hjh. Ellis Suriyati Hj. Omar.

The tournament is open to all Lions members and public golfers.
