Kota Kinabalu: Six hundred top darters from 33 countries around Asia will convene in Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort, near here, to compete in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) South Asia Qualifiers 2014 (SAQ2014) on October 10-12.They include Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Brunei, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Iran, Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan, UAE, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen, Iraq, Kuwait, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, South Korea and Bahrain.The champion of this prestigious tournament will be representing the South Asian Zone in the PDC World Darts Championship, which will take place at the Alexandra Palace, London, UK, in December this year.

Currently, Phil "The Power" Taylor, regarded as the best darter of all time, is in Kota Kinabalu to help promote and organise the SAQ2014 and will be at the tournament venue, as well as visiting Sabah's tourism attractions.Taylor has won more than 200 professional tournaments, including 80 major titles and an unprecedented 16 world championships.
