Hoping more KL ministers visit

KENINGAU: Luyang Assemblyman Hiew King Cheu hoped more Federal Ministers will visit Sabah to foster closer ties between East and West Malaysia. "This is very important to eradicate any misunderstanding and grievances across the sea. "The Federal leaders should get closer to know more about the needs and feelings of Sabahans," he said, adding that it is important for Sabahan voices to be heard in order for further actions to be taken.ADVERTISEMENT He said this when accompanying Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun on Sept 16 to visit the MCA Keningau and Tenom division leaders to further understand the functions of the two MCA divisions. During her visit, various issues in the interior districts as well as party matters especially on women were brought to her attention. Chew later urged all groups of women to participate in programme created by the Ministry known as the 'Program-program Komuniti Perwani 1-Malaysia'.
