BESUT: Terengganu police will be enhancing the role of school relations officers in the state in an effort to curb crime among students. State Police deputy chief SAC Datuk Hashim Abdul Jalil said police took a serious view of criminal activities involving students, especially rape, robbery and fights as well as motorcycle thefts rife in the state of late. Towards this, he said, a plan had been drafted with experts from Universiti Malaya based on modern policing to overcome the problems and to protect victims of such crime.
