KOTA KINABALU: Korean Park Sang Ho and Filipina Yuka Saso are the new champions in the 9th Sabah International Junior Masters which concluded at the Sabah Golf and Country Club (SGCC) Thursday. It was second win in a row for locally-based Park who fired a one-over 73 to take the title with a three-day total of 226, four shots well cleared of four others while it was wire for wire victory for Yuka as she shot a two-over 74 in her final round to beat fellow teammate Abegail Arevalo by one-shot with her total of 223. A jubilan Park who just won the 100PLUS Malaysian Junior Open a week earlier, said he thought he had blown his chances after the first nine holes.ADVERTISEMENT "I played very badly in the opening nine with two bogeys and one double bogey, and I thought it was all over when I had another bogey on hole 11. Luckily my touch returned and managed to score three birdies on hole 13, 16 and 18 to save the day for me." Park also took the boys' division B title followed by Singaporean Nicholas Mok Chee Yong (230) and Solomon Emilio Rosidin (232) while Yuka was also triumphant in the girls' division C with Abegail (224) in second followed by Sofia Chabon (227).
