Drain blockage main cause of floods

KOTA KINABALU: Blockage of the drain in front of SJK (C) Shan Tao in Kepayan Ridge here is the main cause of the frequent flash floods in the area.However, the problem would be solved soon when the narrow concrete culvert is replaced with a bigger box culvert.

Luyang Assemblyman Hiew King Cheu, together with his office assistant Simon Yap Yen Fung, visited the site on Saturday and were satisfied with the work to widen the drain and culvert replacement.
