PENAMPANG. Dire concern over theft and vandalism has prompted new unit owners of Padimas Point Commercial Centre along Jalan Pintas, to form their own Management Committee.Their chairman Datuk Jackson Boijol, a local leader and building entrepreneur said other issues that will be addressed are cleanliness, beautification, minor maintenance and security including lights at common areas shared by owners. His experience as former member of the Penampang District Council for ten years will be handy when addressing other issues regarding by-laws of the local authorities.

Other members elected by the majority of block title owners who were present in the formation meeting are: Deputy Chairman: Lo Jin Wai, Secretary: Stephen Jimbangan, Asst Secretary/Legal Advisor: Evelyn John, Treasurer: Fung Kui Pin. Comittee Members: Datin Renuka Rajagobal, Rekha Raj Notanay, Jocelyn Siambun, Hu Buo Siew, Ang Yew Long, Lily Zhao and Ma Chieh Su.

The meeting also agreed that the management fee to be paid for each block consisting of 3 storeys is RM380, however this may be revised once the second phase of 21 blocks is completed.

Datuk Boijol is confident that all owners will give their full cooperation to the committee since the role and function is simply for their overall security and welfare while no profit is made from the fee contribution. This commercial centre is opposite the scenic padi fields of Kodundungan, the last one existing in the district.
