Najib to chair Council meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will chair the fourth annual Global Science and Innovation Advisory Council (GSIAC) meeting on Wednesday at the New York Academy of Sciences.The meeting will focus on Malaysia's Sustainable Development goals for 2030 to address national, regional and global challenges, and ways to upscale the country's best practices to regional and global levels.The discussion will also focus on encouraging private sector participation, particulary small and medium enterprises in technology, according to a joint statement by the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (Might) and the New York Academy of Sciences Monday.ADVERTISEMENT Another important agenda will be identifying strategic tecnologies that Malaysia should invest in the long run.The backdrop of the discussion will be a presentation on United Nations Sustainable Development Solution Network.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
