Kota Kinabalu: Sukma golfer Solomon Emilio Rosidin captured the 8th Borneo Golf Resort Amateur Golf Championship held over the weekend at the Borneo Golf and Country Club (BGCC).The youngster, representing Dalit Bay Golf and Country Club (DBGCC), carded a final score of five over 77 to end with a three-day total of 227 to beat fellow Sukma team mate Jordan Mobijohn (232) of Sabah Golf and Country Club (SGCC) who had the best final round score of 73 by five shots.Third place went to Mohammad Firdaus @ Diddy, also from SGCC with a total score of 235 followed by opening round leader Chua Poh Guan (SGCC) who was tied in joint fourth place with Julian Magian (SGCC), Cho Han Jin of Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club with their scores of 242 while the seventh to 10th places went to Anthony Binigay (244), Khalid Jikal (245), Nazmi Sodian (245) and Datu Golda Kerri (245).ADVERTISEMENT Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The tournament which offered a total cash prize of RM30,000 was last held eight years ago and defending champion Ian Quek only managed 12th place with his total score of 249.The prizes to the winners were presented by Datuk C.K. Tan who is the President of the Borneo Golf Resort Berhad (BGR) and witnessed by General Manager Peter Tan.
