Man jailed 18 months for molest bid

TAWAU: A 30-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months' jail by the Magistrate's Court here Monday for assaulting a woman with intention to molest her.Jumahin Sei pleaded guilty before Magistrate Ferhansha Farene Mohd Ferdaus to committing the crime against the 30-year-old woman at 6.30am on May 31, at Kg Inderasabah.Inspector Rozelinna Baharuddin, prosecuting, told the court that the woman was carrying a spare tyre to the car park when Jumahin approached her from behind and kicked the tyre carried by the woman.

The frightened woman ran for to the shop for safety but Jumahin went after her and pulled at her scarf and shirt, causing the woman to fall.Jumahin then dragged the woman out of the shop and tried to pull her trousers down.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
