Pimp punctures tyre after man refuses prostitute

KOTA KINABALU: A 46-year-old Bugis pimp, who punctured a man's car tyre for refusing his offer of a prostitute was jailed seven days by the Magistrate's Court.Tonny Saputra Asiri pleaded guilty before Magistrate's Cindy Mc Juce Balitus to puncturing the tyre of Lajetan Bobi's car near the Maybank premises at Kg Air here at 1.30pm on Sept 13.

He committed an offence under Section 8(1)(e) of the Minor Offences Ordinance which provides for a RM25 fine or seven days jail on conviction.

Tonny, who was not represented requested for a fine but prosecuting officer Chief Inspector Lim Swee Beng urged the court to impose the imprisonment sentence effectively from Tuesday.

Lim told the court that prior to the incident, Tonny had stopped Lajetan and offered a prostitute to him but Lajetan declined the offer.

Lajetan's refusal caused Tonny to go after him and puncture the tyre of his car.

"This is serious matter committed by Tonny, who not only punctured the tyre but also intimidated the complainant, who also suffered financial losses as a result of the punctured tyre," said Lim in applying for imprisonment sentence.

Balitus ordered Tonny to serve the sentence from Tuesday.

In an unrelated case, a 27-year-old Dusun mechanic claimed trial to keeping a stolen motorcycle.

Jinus Jailani is accused of having the machine belonging to one Wazir Wahid, at 4.30pm on Sept 5 at Kg Kinabalang, Inanam.

He was offered bail at RM2,000 in two sureties pending case management on Oct 23.
