26 Tamparuli students visit State Archives

KOTA KINABALU: About 26 students from SMK Sungai Damit, Tamparuli visited the State Archives on Sept 8.The group was led by teachers Miflin Gulimas and Aza Evianna Ramlee.

When they arrived, they were briefed about the roles and functions of the Archives before they were shown a historical film.

Apart from that, they also visited a special exhibition called "Sejarah Kelahiran Malaysia" in conjunction with this year's Merdeka Day celebration at the Archive's gallery exhibition.

Meanwhile, another group from the Institute of Technical Training and Commerce and the Department of Human Resource in Papar visited the Archives on Sept 18.

The team was led by Agnes D Mikil. The main objective of the visit was to expose trainees on the file management system.

Among departments they were taken to included the W.C. Cowie Library and the restoration and preservation area.
