Dept explains the detour delay

KOTA KINABALU: Land acquisition problems have been delaying plans to construct a temporary detour at Jalan Bantayan-Minintod which was damaged by landslips recently."I hope the Land and Survey Department will cooperate to solve this problem as we had submitted a proposal to them earlier," said Public Works Department Director Datuk John Anthony. The construction, according to him would affect part of the land owned by a private owner."We are not sure when will process will be completed as it is now up to the Land and survey Department," he said on Monday.
