Tenom retiree wants action on foul smell from drains

TENOM: A 75-year old retiree, Alfred Tai was left dumbfounded after his complaints of foul smell from clogged drains to the housing developer here fell on deaf ears.Tai said the developer of Taman Ko Pendi near Taman Mantailang had refused to acknowledge his problem even after he filed similar complaints to the local authority, Drainage and Irrigation Department and Health Department.He said he had no other alternative but to publish his complaint in the newspaper with the hope that relevant authorities would step up to assist him.

The Taman Ko Pendidi was completed about two years ago but only three lots were occupied while about a hundred more lots are still vacant.
