Four family members killed in collision

KOTA TINGGI: A family of four were killed when the Perodua Alza vehicle they in was involved in a collision with a Proton Satria Neo and Toyota Estima vehicles at Km 46, Jalan Johor Baharu-Mersing here Friday.Kota Tinggi district deputy police chief Supt Low Hang Seng said the victims were driver, Ruhaizad Said, 48, his wife Azliza Osman, 45, mother-in-law Hainee Jamil, 70 and son Muhammad Zaki Ruhaizad, 13."In the 10.15 am incident, the driver of the Satria Neo, Muammar Hakimmi Mas Bakri, 21, sustained serious injuries while the driver of the Toyota Estima, Mad Serehan Ishak, 43, did not sustain any injury," he said here.

Low said the accident was believed to have occurred when the Satria vehicle from Kota Tinggi was heading towards Mersing and collided with the Alza which was from the opposite direction.He said the Estima vehicle, which was behind the Alza then crashed into it causing Ruhaizad, who was a plantation assistant manager and his three family members to sustain fatal injuries.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
