KUALA LUMPUR: DAP Sabah called on the Home Ministry to explain the disappearance of three men in Tawau about a month ago.DAP Sabah Chief Jimmy Wong, Deputy Chief Stephen Wong and Vice Chief Chan Foong Hin said the incident on Sept 29 was reported in a local Chinese daily but police refused to comment when asked about it."The Minister of Home Affairs should reveal the truth about the 'X file' -- three men's disappearance in Tawau," they said in a joint statement outside Parliament, here, Wednesday.

According to the news report, a witness named Wong saw a Proton Wira stopped by seven armed men in three double cabs.The window of the Proton Wira was smashed and the passengers were dragged out from the car, then taken away by the three double cabs and the incident was said to have caused a heavy traffic jam at Mile 4, Apas Road, Tawau.On Oct 11, Chan, who is Sri Tanjung Assemblyman, said he called a press conference to appeal on behalf of the wives of the men who were worried about their husbands.Kamsiria Sarail, 44, the wife of Mohammad Sarail, 50, a pirate taxi operator, Nuribia Lebensuh, 20, the wife of Zulfikar bin Omar, 40, a fisherman, met Chan at DAP's Tawau office except for the wife of Mohammad Jobail, 34, a poultry seller, as she has a handicapped child to care for.

"We have urged the Sabah Commissioner of Police to shed light on the case but there has been no answer until now," he added.
