Tickets snapped up in just two hours

KUANTAN: Pahang die-hard fans are willing to camp overnight outside the ticket counters at the Darul Makmur Stadium to ensure they would not miss out on an opportunity to watch the Malaysia Cup final live at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.Fans who arrived at the stadium at about 11pm Wednesday night with make shift beds and camping equipment, waited overnight for the ticket counters to open at 10am Thursday.According to Pahang Football Association secretary-general Fuzzemi Ibrahim, all 40,000 tickets allocated for Pahang were snapped up in just two hours after the counters opened at 10am.

He said eight counters were opened at the Darul Makmur Stadium while another 5,400 tickets were sold at the Temerloh Mini Stadium.Among the first to buy a ticket was Abdul Majid Abdul Hamid or better known as Pak Majid among Pahang fans, when the counters opened at 10am Thursday."I came to the stadium at 11.45pm last night and slept under the counter. I just want to see Pahang win the Malaysia Cup and bring it home. I believe Pahang can beat Johor DT 2-1," said Pak Majid.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, Abu Bakar Omor, 26, a former Civil Defence Department member, who had managed to buy his tickets from a counter that was packed with fans, collapsed while trying to wriggle his way out.

"Luckily my colleagues managed to safe me. Usually we (as Civil Defence Department) will help people in trouble but today I was myself was a victim," he said. – Bernama
