SANDAKAN: About RM55,000 was collected from a Charity Dinner in conjunction with 'Pink October' which was held at Sabah Hotel's Ballroom.Community Development and Consumer Affairs Minister, Datuk Jainab Ahmad said that knowledge about breast cancer and other issues associated with cancer patients should be spread so that awareness could be increased.
Also present was Sandakan Kinabalu Pink Ribbon's Chairperson, Mary Mansiw who said that the charity dinner aims to raise funds to build a special centre to hand over assistance and moral support to those with breast cancer.
