Syabu: Pop-rock vocalist remanded

KUALA LUMPUR: A famous local pop-rock group vocalist of the 90s era was remanded for four days from Thursday by the Selayang Magistrate's Court here for allegedly possessing syabu.The remand order was issued by Magistrate Nurul Izzah Hasan Basri to assist investigation under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the same Act.Earlier, the 35-year-old suspect, who is also a singer and actor, arrived accompanied by police officers at the court's compound at 10.05 am handcuffed and wearing a purple lock-up attire.ADVERTISEMENT The suspect was later seen leaving the court at 10.15am to be brought to the Gombak district police headquarters (IPD) lock-up.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

The suspect's wife, who was seen waiting for his arrival since 9am, managed to say "I love you so much" four times to him.On Wednesday, the police arrested the suspect in the vicinity of the Selayang Mall Complex, Selayang during the Operasi Tapis, which conducted by a team from the Gombak IPD.
