106 pupils at Sacred Heart graduation

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 106 Primary Six pupils of SRK Sacred Heart received their certificates during the school's graduation ceremony on Saturday.The ceremony held at the Promenade Hotel was officiated by Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia President, Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai.

In his speech, Yee advised the pupils to equip themselves with various skills so that they will be stronger and ready to face the challenging world.

"To enter secondary one is only the beginning of your new phase, you will face more challenges in secondary school.

"But as a student, you must work hard to achieve success in your life which will bring you to a bright future," Yee said.

Meanwhile, District Education Officer representative, Nurwaniedah Winnie Abdullah said to ensure the students are strong to face the challenging world, ots is important that parents, teachers and community work with the students.

She said their success in school not only depends on teachers but that parents must also monitor and encourage their children at home.

School headmaster Simon Lim said the purpose of holding the graduation ceremony annually was to celebrate the Primary Six pupils who will leave the school.

Also present at the event were, its school Management Board President Daniel Tham, La Sallian Patron Datuk Brother Charles O'leary, parents and teachers.
