RM1m EPF withdrawal allowed next year

KUALA LUMPUR: Some 1,331 people have over RM1mil each in their Employees Provident Fund (EPF) account and can withdraw the sum when they turn 55 next year.Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Maslan said on Thursday that this group constituted 0.6pc of the total 233,299 EPF contributors who turn 55 and can withdraw their savings next year.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.

"Another 26,898 contributors or 11.5pc have between RM50,001 and RM100,000 while 10.5pc or 24,552 people have savings between RM100,001 and RM200,000 in their account," he said.
