SANDAKAN: Women related programmes organised by the government are encouraging women to play their roles in the nation's development.According to Batu Sapi MP, Datuk Linda Tsen, programmes such as the 'Women Directors', "1Malaysia Support for Housewives' and 'Women Career Come Back' are believed to be able to encourage women to play active roles in these aspects.

She said this when launching the Balai Wanita Puan Hajjah Kasmah Salleh at Kampung Gas here, recently.

Speaking of the facility, Tsen said she believed more women related programmes will be organised to contribute towards the government's plan in fulfilling women's roles.

She urged the people especially women to fully use the facility for the benefits of all.

Meanwhile, Hajjah Kasmah said books will be placed at the facility and she hoped that similar facilities will be built in each village in the future.

"With this facility, it is convenient for all women to gather and organise activities that are capable of producing successful human capital," she said, thanking all those involved in the development of the facility.
