'Undergrads should not be fooled by opposition lies'

KUALA LUMPUR: Undergraduates should not be fooled by opposition lies but should think in a rational manner to pursue the national transformation agenda.Umno Education Bureau chairman Tan Sri Prof Dr Ibrahim Shah Abu Shah said undergraduates should be wise in judging postings made by the opposition via the social media."Undergraduates have the right to read but they should know that the new media does not provide 100 percent accurate facts. Over 50 percent is negative view not based on facts.

"Don't be easily influenced by opposition propaganda," he said here.The Umno Supreme Council member said the social media has managed to brainwash the minds of undergraduates (youths) who easily believed the opposition postings."Youths must be able to judge the good and the bad before making perceptions and conclusions. They must get accurate news and information from reliable sources."Ibrahim Shah said the opposition strategy was to reduce Malay support for Umno by influencing youths with perceptions and propaganda to divide the Malays.
