Bintang Kecil singing winner wins RM15,000

KUCHING: Year Five pupil, Siti Erinshahira Jamaliddin beat seven others to emerge champion of the 2014 Bintang Kecil Kebangsaan competition here, Saturday night.Siti, representing Negeri Sembilan, who sang Datuk Siti Nurhaliza's song 'Jerat Percintaan', as her first song, and 'Cinta Anak Desa', composed by Patrick Khamis, as her second song, also won the Best Performance award.The Melaka, Methodist Girls School pupil won RM15,000, a trophy, certificate and a wrist watch, and as Best Performer, RM1,000. Runner up was Nur Balqis Aleeya Shahrom, 10, of Selangor while Muhd Harris Mukhriz, 10, of Sarawak, was third.

Nur Balqis received cash RM10,000, cup, certificate and a wrist watch while Muhd Harris took home RM7,000, cup, certificate and a wrist watch.Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem witnessed the competition and gave away the prizes to the winners. – Bernama
