PAPAR: Graduates of skills centres have been asked not to be too choosy when it comes to work but seize every available opportunity to gain experience and knowledge.Resource Development and Information Technology Minister, Datuk Siringan Gubat said being too choosy when it comes to jobs would be detrimental to the trainees themselves because they will not be able to gain experience in a job thus leaving them unable to practice what they had learnt. "I would advise trainees not to be too choosy when entering the job market later. The habit of being too choosy job wise will hurt you and your family," he said.

He was speaking at the official presentation of the Trade Technical Training Institute (ILTP) Certificate of Completion of Training 2014 at Papar Community Hall. At the ceremony 259 trainees receive certificates of completion on their training.
His speech was delivered by Assistant Minister Datuk Hamisa Samat.Siringan also reminded parents to always give encouragement and support to children in order to get rid of the habit of being choosy when it comes to jobs.

He also suggested that all graduates take advantage of information technology and the Internet by registering with the Sabah Job Centre to get the latest information related to the employment opportunities.Siringan said to accommodate the growing number of youths, the Human Resources Development Department has plans to build another skills campus for youth in Kundasang.
