PENAMPANG: A Christmas Bazaar organised by Li-Co group with 60 participating stalls was nearly washed out due to leaking roofs and gutters at the Buhavan Square Donggongon.A similar washout in July affected all the electrical and furniture goods of a local company. The Daily Express report prompted the local council to conduct some repairs then but only one downpipe was fixed while the rest of the leaks remained. The two-day bazaar was dry on the first day. However, the second day on Saturday saw the roof leaking all over the place, including broken gutters and rainfall at the centre.

The organisers said the centre stalls paid higher rent of RM50 per day and would make a profit provided no such washout occurs. Ironically the centre stalls are more affected by the rain.Stay up-to-date by following Daily Express’s Telegram channel.
