Esscom Director appointed Kedah Immigration Chief

Alor Setar: Mohamad Yusri Hashim, Eastern Sabah Security Command's (Esscom) director of Public Action, has been appointed as the new Director of the Kedah Immigration Department, effective Feb 1.According to a statement issued by Esscom, Mohamad Yusri received his appointment letter from the Public Service Department a few days ago.His post at Esscom was among three new posts created for the public component following the restructuring of the body, which is tasked with coordinating the operations in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) involving various security and defence agencies.

The public component's two other divisions are the Secretariat and Management, and the component headed by its Chief Executive Officer, Ruji Ubi.The restructuring of Esscom saw the establishment of two main components - security and public.
