Tawau: The younger generation here has been urged not to be too impulsive when sharing their comments in the social media.Umno Kalabakan Youth Chief Andy Muhd Suryady Andi Bandi said some of these "keyboard warriors" become too arrogant to an extent that they disregard the sensitivity raised from their comments or blogs.

He said some of them share comments and views without checking their authenticity and subsequently caused frictions among different groups.

"We are concerned that some of the information being spread through the social media contain bad elements," he said after chairing the Umno Kalabakan Youth meeting, Friday.

He said they should avoid from being used as a tool to spread unfiltered information, especially from those who are aiming to destabilise the peace in the country.

On other developments, he hoped the Government would consider seriously the proposal to build a community college in Kalabakan.

Andy said many youths in Kalabakan aspire to further their studies but distance is preventing them from fulfilling their aspirations.

He said many of them are keen to take up vocational studies.
