'What Youth Should Know' conference

Putra Jaya: The MCA Youth organised 'What Youth Should Know', conference to be held at Wisma MCA in Kuala Lumpur on March 28, is expected to draw big names in the corporate sector, social and politics.Among the political icons expected to attend the conference is former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

MCA Youth chief Chong Sin Woon said though the conference was being organised by the MCA, there would be no slots for political talk or speech since the conference would fully focus on activities that can benefit youths.

"Since many feel that Sabah and Sarawak are more apt in adopting the 1Malaysia concept, the party had invited Minister of Housing and Local Government Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan to share his experience," he told reporters here Sunday.

Other individuals expected to feature in the conference are AirAsia Malaysia chief executive officer Aireen Omar; Yayasan Gerakan Kesederhanaan Global chief executive officer Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah and former ambassador Datuk Noor Farida Ariffin.

He said Deputy Education minister P. Kamalanathan; Universiti LimKokWing founder Tan Sri Dr. Lim Kok Wing and Sunway Education Group's chief executive Dr. Elizabeth Lee had also pledged to attend the conference that is expected to be participated by about 1,800 youths. – Bernama
