Keningau: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the Barisan Nasional (BN) government will always deliver its promises made to the people. He said when the people gave BN the mandate it was the responsibility of the BN leaders to fulfil all the election promises."BN leaders are genuine and they keep their words and serve the people well," he told reporters after launching a new bridge in Bandukan, Bingkor, near here, Sunday. Musa said the RM8.1 million bridge across the Bayayo River was another successful project implemented by the BN government.ADVERTISEMENT The bridge was necessary for the people to cross over, more importantly, the school children, during flood season."So when (Deputy Chief Minister) Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan told me about the need for a bridge here, I have no hesitation in approving the project because it is the people's project and the BN always keeps its promise," said Musa earlier in his speech. He also urged the people of various races and religious beliefs to continue strengthening solidarity for the smooth development of the various economic and social sectors in the State.Musa said unity and peace would create political stability that allows the Government to carry out its responsibility to develop the State without any interruption.ADVERTISEMENT "This (political stability) is important so that we can fulfil the hopes and aspirations of the people. Imagine if chaos reigns with demonstrations. Will people want to come to our State then," he said. Pairin, who is also Minister of Infrastructure Development, in his speech, said the people used low level crossing to cross the river."When the water level was low it posed no problem. But when the water level rose during the flood season, they could not cross the river," he said.
