Papar: Villagers of Kg Kituntul here claimed that a hill-cutting project near their village had severely affected their drainage system and river.Ever since the project was started years ago, they said, the drainage system and the river that flowed through the village are now clogged by mud and villagers living in the lower areas have suffered repeated flash floods.Angkatan Gabungan Rakyat Asli Sabah (Agaras) Papar Coordinating Chairman Robert Sopining, who visited the village recently, was told that the villagers had sent a letter of protest to the company responsible for the project in 2012, to no avail.
