GST a hot issue among rural folks, says Rubin

Tenom: Assemblyman, Datuk Rubin Balang said the Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a hot topic, especially among the rural folks but he was confident that it will cool down in the near future.However, he said it was up to the government particularly the implementing agencies to address issues relating to the implementation of GST."It is now up to the agencies concerned to do improvement as we have done our best where several briefing sessions were held with the branches and JKKK before this," he said when opening the Kampung Bamban Umno branch annual general meeting here.

"They need to discuss various problems comprehensively especially in terms of maintaining cleanliness, water supply, laying of the gravity pipes and report it urgently to the District Officer," he said.Meanwhile, the branch also declared its full support to the party top leadership particularly, President Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
