Human capital: UCSF identifies 3 sectors

Kota Kinabalu: University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) has identified three sectors that the university can contribute in expanding human capital development in Sabah, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.Musa, who is also Sabah Foundation Chairman, said the sectors identified by UCSF, a higher learning institution wholly owned by Sabah Foundation, included Creative Industry, Conservation & Environmental Science as well as Hospitality & Eco-Tourism."As a new university, UCSF needs to position itself as an educational institution that truly caters to the needs of the Sabah state. To achieve this, it has to identify and address the crucial needs of human capital in various sectors that are rapidly expanding in Sabah," he said.

Musa said this in his speech in London where he witnessed the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UCSF and Salford University, Sheffield College and City Of F Oxford College, held at The Malaysian Embassy in London. "In the past week, UCSF artists exhibited about 72 artworks at the Malaysian Cultural Week in Paris with a total of 25 paintings by UCSF artists sold to Parisian art collectors. In Paris, UCSF has also signed two Memorandum Of Understanding with F Production to co-produce a nature documentary entitled 'Into the Wild of Sabah'.
