She said the Korean sponsorship covered 116 Sabah children since 2007, adding that all 116 were well and living a normal life. She also said that due to the sustainable good partnership, the project had helped to clear the backlog and such assistance has shortened the queue at the hospital. The SOSHF hopes to send 16 more to Korea for corrective heart surgery this year. She said the cost of sending a patient to Korea is cheaper for the SOSHF than sending a patient to Kuala Lumpur as the cost of medical and all cost incurred in Korea will be borne by the Korean NGOs while the SOSHF would pay for the cost of passports, allowances, incidences, insurance, and airfares for patients and escorts.
