Keningau: A father here expressed disappointment over the conduct of the organisers of the Keningau Harvest Festival Sugandoi Dazanak Competition, claiming they had insulted his 10-year-old daughter.According to Roy Francis, the incident, which occurred at the Community Hall on May 3, had left his daughter emotionally disturbed and feeling inferior.

"My daughter was one of the participants in the competition and we were told before the event that all contestants will be given a consolation prize even if they did not win. However, at the end of the competition, the organisers omitted my daughter's name.

"As a result of this, our family met with the organisers that seemed confused. After waiting for some time, they decided to hand us the consolation prize in a secretive and shameful way," he explained.

However, according to Roy, it was not so much the gift but the feelings of his daughter.

"What I regret here is the attitude of the organisers of the competition who were very unprofessional in handling the event.

Thus, Roy asked that the organisers of the 2015 Keningau Harvest Festival Sugandoi Dazanak Competition to apologise publicly to him and his daughter.
