Fourth 100pc score for Keningau school

KENINGAU: SMJK Ken Hwa repeated its fourth successive achievement 100pc pass in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examinations .
The school’s principal, Chong Nyuk Choon, said that the 100pc record for four consecutive years starting from 2015 was the best achievement for the school.

In terms of School Average Grade (GPS), SMJK Ken Hwa earned 2.50 in 2018, slightly lower than in 2017 which recorded 2.67.
“The number of students who attended the last year’s STPM examination at this school was 36 people.
“In the meantime, ten students have earned CGPA of 3.00 and above for STPM in 2018 compared to 19 in 2017,” he said.
Chong said, in terms of the best subjects, four subjects have earned 100pc pass, namely General Studies, Business Studies, Visual Arts and Chemistry.

He said the best-performing average grade of subjects (GPMP) showed that General Studies subject with GPMP 3.05 followed by Business Studies subject with GPMP 2.91, Visual Art 2.87 and Chemistry 2.25.
Meanwhile, he said, Diane Christie Teddy was selected as the best student of the STPM 2018 of the school by earning a CGPA of 3.67 who is also the best student of Humanity stream.

Meanwhile, Chong Wen Jia was chosen as the best student of the Science stream by obtaining a CGPA of 3.00.
Chong said the success of STPM 2018 which was obtained by this school was thanks to the prayers, efforts and encouragement and cooperation of all parties, especially teachers and students who are constantly working to improve school achievement.
