SANDAKAN: Some 50,000 Bersatu supporters across Sabah are expected to throng Padang Merdeka in Kota Kinabalu to witness the party’s inaugural launching in the State on April 6, with many in high anticipation of who will be announced as Sabah Bersatu Chairman.
Among probable names are Datuk Hajiji Noor, Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin, Datuk Ricky Dasim Jikah and Dato’ Sri Dr Mohd Jeffry Rosman.

Last Monday, Hajiji confirmed that Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is scheduled to launch Bersatu in the State Capital but remained tight-lipped on who will become the Chairman for Sabah.
Meanwhile, Dr Mohd Jeffry (pic), who claim to be the earliest co-ordinator for Bersatu in Sabah, said the size of the party’s struggle is not measured on who will be appointed as the Chairman in Sabah.
He said Dr Mahathir, who is Bersatu Chairman, should check the membership status of the names which will be chairman for Sabah.
He said among matters that should be examined is when did these names become members? Was it before or after the general election?

Dr Mahathir was earlier quoted as saying that he accepts the entry of former Umno assemblymen but not to be given any post and that they have to be patient until the 15th General Election.
Meanwhile, Mohd Jeffry insisted he was not interested in lobbying or making any social media statements about his chances of getting the post.
