KUALA LUMPUR: It is not known if national badminton ace Datuk Lee Chong Wei will be participating at the Malaysian Open badminton championship next month.
This would depend on a follow up examination Chong Wei would undergo in Taiwan by a medical expert.

Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria said the 36-year-old player would leave for Taiwan on Sunday.
“I hope fans and supporters of national badminton specifically Chong Wei will not place too high a hope to see him participating in the Malaysian Open.
‘’But I am sure he will join the national squad to the Sudirman Cup championship in May in Nanning, China,’’ he told reporters after a Youth and Sports Ministry-BAM townhall session at the Malaysian Badminton Academy, Bukit Kiara here, Thursday.
