17 Malaysians return from Lombok

SEPANG: A group of 17 Malaysians who were in Lombok, Indonesia when it was struck by an earthquake on Sunday, arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2) here, Tuesday.
They arrived on an Air Asia flight at 3.30pm (pic).

They were greeted upon arrival by the Foreign Ministry’s deputy secretary-general (Bilateral Relations), Raja Datuk Nushirwan Zainal Abidin.
The earthquake triggered a landslide killing two Malaysians, Datin Tai Siew Kim and Lim Sai Wah.
The Foreign Ministry in a statement said the remains of the deceased victims were expected to arrive on a Garuda aircraft from Indonesia, this evening.

He added that four others were still receiving treatment at the Mataram District General Hospital.

The Malaysians were reported to be in the Tiu Kelep Senaru Waterfall when a 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit the island, followed by an aftershock with a 5.2-magnitude. - Bernama
