KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Karate Association (SKA) President Datuk Jake Jikulin Nointin called on the State athletes to use the 39th Makaf National Senior Karate Open Championship 2019 as a stepping stone to represent the country in the sport.

“I hope the athletes will give their best shot and do well in this national championship where they will face other top exponents from across the country.

“This will be the best venue for them to make a good impression in order to get selected into the national team,” he said after handing over the State flag to the State contingent at their dojo in Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex, on Wednesday.
