Couple caught taking drugs in the nude

KENINGAU: A couple was among 12 suspects detained in the Ops Cegah conducted by Keningau National Anti-Drug Agency (Nada) in several villages around Keningau and Tambunan Thursday night.Both were in the nude when nabbed and the woman found to have fled from her home for three days, while her male partner failed to attend drug rehabilitation for three years.ADVERTISEMENT
He faced with a prosecution case under Section 6 (2) (d) of the Drug Addiction, Treatment and Rehabilitation Act 1983 for reusing drugs during the Nada surveillance period. The Suspect and his partner are positive for syabu through screening tests on them.
“All suspects will be investigated under Section 3 (1) of the Drug Addiction, Treatment and Rehabilitation Act 1983, said Chief of Operations Azry Goilbin @ Azmi.
According to Azry, the operations conducted were based on public information as well as monitoring by Nada.

Azry, who is also District Nada Officer, hoped people would be more aware of drugs in their neighborhood, especially in Keningau and Tambunan, which has seen an increase in cases.
