Ranau man is  found dead with injuries
RANAU: A local was found dead with injuries on his body in Kg Bundu Tuhan, here, on Wednesday. Sipaul Yunseh, 59, from Kg Tawo-Tawo Bundu Tuhan was found blood-stained in the river by a villager who alerted the police about 11.30am.

Ranau District Police Chief, DSP Mohd Shahrul Bin Datuk Hj Abdul Wahab said the body was found 60 meters from his home.

Police detained three locals to assist in the investigation.

“The body of the victim was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (HQE) Kota Kinabalu for a post-mortem while the Police Forensic Unit conducted an investigation on the scene,” he said Thursday.

Mohd Shahrul said early investigations revealed that the victim had bruises in both eyes, right cheek, cut marks in the left ear, bruises and wounds in the body and hands.

There was a slash wound on the right hand and severe bleeding from a wound in the head. All wounds believed inflicted by a sharp object.

“Investigations around the victim’s house revealed broken glass everywhere, believed as a result from struggles. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
